Speaking of VRM temperatures, does anyone know which temperature sensor monitors the VRMs?

I've been searching, I can't find anything short of a temperature gun. smile.gif

My guess is one of these would be the closest tongue.gif

In all seriousness though, TMPIN1 seems to be related to CPU temp
TMPIN2 sounds like Northbridge or somehow related to the CPU also, it all seems hear say in other forums because the trust hasn't been built up in there like it has here for me,

There are 3 others on there though, wish I knew what they were. tongue.gif

I believe one of them is the chipset, one of them probably is the VRM and maybe one of them is the PLX. Not sure which is which, though, or if I'm right about any of that.

Got the same mb, I recognize it (rolleyes.gif). Did a quick boot up in the top slot and it booted w/ the Asus Titan. now gonna fill up a simple loop to test it.

Ran about an hour of mixed 3dmark11 and Metro bench. Seems well. Going to start putting her back together.

I'm running them at the xmp profile (1600).

Im hoping that someone here will be able to assist.

I just purchased the G1.Sniper 3 as the mainboard for my new computer - i5-3570K, 16gb RAM, and dual EVGA overclocked GTX 660s.

Problem is that I have been unable to get the board to detect ANYTHING when a video card is in the PCI-e slots. I built the machine and left the onboard video enabled...so that I had a sufficient image to get into Windows 7 64 bit to install the nVidia drivers for the addon cards. When I attempted to do so, the nVidia software could not find compatible hardware to load the drivers for. I attempted to use an older version of the drivers thinking it may be a compatibility issue, but that also failed. I went into the BIOS and told it to initialize the PCI-e slot 1 first (the one closest to the CPU, and the one that I had the card in). Regardless if I left the IGFX inabled, or disabled, I got no image upon a reboot. Same thing if I plugged the monitor into the addon GPU or the IGFX, if I had a card residing in the slot that I told to initialize first, I got no image.

Thinking it was a BIOS issue, I upgraded to F7 and found the problem persisted. I tried the second GTX 660 and had the same issues. I tried to place the 660s in other slots and was only able to get an image on boot so long as I didnt have a card in the same slot that I told the BIOS to initialize during POST. If I did, I got no image. Fearing that I may have gotten bad cards, I tried it with my old PCI-e version 1.0 GTX 260 from my old computer and received the same issues.

In the end no matter what I do, if I can get into windows completely, I am unable to load the nVidia drivers as its not detecting any installed hardware. Ive searched the net and found other people having some similar issues with the driver software not finding "compatible hardware" but I havent been able to a solution other than the typical "reseat the card, update the bios, blah blah blah" that Ive tried a number of times. Im thinking I may have a bad PCI-e controller...

Any suggestions? Please help...

Do the cards work in another computer? Something seems wrong with the board, you might need to RMA it.

Thanks for the reply...

I have not tested either of the GTX 660s in another machine...my old machine only contained PCI-e v1.0 slots, and I took the PSU and HDDs out to put in the new computer. I did try the GTX 260 from that machine on the new board and received the same results. It doesnt seem likely that I got two defective 660s and somehow had my 260 die at the very moment I received 2 defective cards. tongue.gif

Ill be migrating at least one HDD back tonight so that I can have a functioning computer while I try to figure this issue out. I can try to run the 660 on the older computer but I cant say it will be any different with a v3.0 card going into a v1.0 slot.
