It seems no matter what I do I can't get my 3770k stable over 4.4GHz. Oh well.

We can better help you if we know your system specs. I know I can get to 4.5 stable with nothing more than setting it to 4.5 GHz. and a little more vcore or dvid offset whick ever I am using. What bios version are you using? Also whats your bios settings look like? If you like you can use the bios template in the spoiler.

Ok sin I am trying to get 4.7 stable... heres wot I have so far..Passes linX high 5 times. BTW intel graphics are enabled in bios...

In general most people don't post unless they have a problem/need help or are showing off/bragging lol.

While I still feel like the bios is beta at best and overclocking leaves much to be desired (F5-F7 M3 bios anyway), overall I am satisfied with the Sniper M3.

]Bought the Noctua NH-D14 and installed it in the traditional position but felt uneasy with the PCI-E x16 slot partially blocked. I had no video card to test fit (On the way...) but using an envelope, it doesn't seem like it is going to be a clean fit. There would definitely be contact between the fan clips and the 7970 on its way and so I repositioned the cooler and its fans to what is shown in the pictures as it gives more space for graphic card. My questions are;

1) Will cooling performance take a hit with this position of cooler and fans? (Case is an antec 900) I ask because I'm unsure if I should be impressed with the cooling performance of this cooler combined with my chip (3570K @ 4.5 GHz / 1.310 V) as I'm seeing average 100% load temperatures during Prime95 of low-mid 70's with peak temperatures in the low 80's.

2) If there is contact whatsoever between backplate of card and cooler, what should I use to insulate? I'm thinking I will slap on rubber tape or maybe electrical tape in areas where there is contact... ?? ...

No matter the position, it seems it is going to be tight fit regardless... I'm thinking how the heck am I going to remove the graphic card for future GPU upgrade... Should I just return the Noctua NH-D14 and grab the H80 or Antec 920?

edit @ bruennis - the first PCI slot is the only one that runs 16x right? if not you could always just drop it down a slot, but Im pretty sure the top is the only one that gets full bandwidth... hmm you may be best off swapping out for something else, hyper 212 if you want to stay air cooling.
