if color scheme matters to you i'd say don't get it.
if you're a real enthusiast get all matching colors. only get the board if you can resale it.
i got my cpu, motherboard and memory for a price i just couldnt pass up at a ridiculous price and that's how i ended up with this board. it's an average board nothing really special about it. i got it for nothing. i'm stuck with it cause my previous gigabyte amd board went dead and this sniper intel board picked up my ssd without a reinstall. i just can't afford a reinstall right now. it would take too long to have my computer restored.
it's hard to color match this green board. especially with gold memory that i have. but i'm stuck with the build and the memory too cause i got it for cheap.
back is an easy color to match. blue i think is the best color. i don't like red cause it's too much. i don't like the windowed builds with red. makes cases look like an oven. green is hard to match unless you have the time to custom.
i got a free fractal define r4. but didn't want to use it because it just adds more colors i don't want to deal with. and cause it's plastic. the guy literally begged me to have it. so after a while i gave in and took it. then what happens? i put it on a stool and when i got from under my desk bumped it and shattered the whole front rofl. brand new never used the plastic pieces looking at me on the floor. why did i even take this board? i couldn't use it and now can't even sell it!!but yeah in my opinion i wouldn't say the sniper 3 board is anything special . for 170-180 usd you can get a new motherboard online of your choice if you have the patience.
i got my mine for $80 brand new never used
gi me dat
edit: the sniper 3 though is a nice upgrade from my previous gigabyte motherboard. i just had to revert back to the i think f7 nonbeta bios. this beta f8j bios can't resume back from sleep and it's been giving me hell.
the wifi is nice to have cause sometimes i lose connection and i don't miss a beat.
for me it was btwn this sniper 3 and the ga-z77x-ud6h-wb wifi
. i went with the sniper cause it was brand new. the other baord was refurbished and was $120.
seller actually begged me to have this sniper 3 board and i refused. newegg had specials for some cheaper boards i was interested for around $70 with a free 8GB stick. so this guy begged me to have his sniper 3 for $80 coming down all the way from $200 (regular at the time was $240).Edited by Remix65 - 8/15/13 at 9:04pm
