mine is in the mail , its hard giving up my old p67 UD-5 its been a great board I just need to be able to do some testing on mSATA and needed a couple more SATA 6gb slots, did some trading around and ended up costing me about 10 bucks im not to keen on the ugly Green color but with the lights off who will see it.

I am a proud owner of a G1 Sniper 3, which I love, but I'm having a little issue with the Recon 3D Control Panel used for the Creative Audio chipset. The Recon 3D Control Panel defaults to a 5.1 surround. Since I only have a subwoofer and a left/right speaker system, I go into speaker mode and then uncheck everything except the front left/right speakers and the subwoofer. Then the sound works properly. However, it will not save the settings after a reboot or coming out of sleep modem, even though I've created the settings and saved them under a profile. I did some research and it appears as if the program does not save these settings. What I'm really hoping for if anyone here who also owns a G1 Sniper 3 and has a 2.1 sound system can replicate this same issue or not? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
~m00n

I'm bringing this back up... I also posted a thread but can't seem to get a response. Can anyone who has the G1 Sniper 3 and a 2.1 sound system confirm this to be an issue or not? Thanks...

Yes, I thought Gigabyte had finally got the right idea about mobo colour schemes, but already the fisher price colouring is creeping back in with teh G1 series. At least this board doesn't have any ridiculous "heat sink" shaped like a clip.

Hey guys i currently have this mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121605 but i have the itch to upgrade it for some reason. Ive been questioned multiply times why i even went with this board to begin with although it has been rock solid so far. The G1 Sniper seems superior in a sense and may be more OC friendly but i would like to hear from people with this board before i make a decision.

I have the Corsair C70 case in military green so this mobo would def follow that theme a little better then my current Intel board. I also would like to know if i need to do a fresh install of windows if i swap mobo's ? Or can i just remove the intel drivers and install the Gigabyte drivers ?

Current hardware for reference -

Intel 3770K
Intel DZ77GA-70K Mobo
Intel 520 Series 240 gig SSD
WD Caviar Green 2TB
Evga GTX 670 FTW X2
Creative Sound Blaster recon 3D
Windows 7 64 Bit
Samsung 27'' TOC
Corsair Vengeance C70 Military Green
Corsair Vengeance 16GB
Corsair Pro Series Gold AX850
Corsair H100

I have a full custom WC loop going in as well so i would like to make the transition asap lol

You are like the 2nd person i have ever seen who didn't like the green and black, they wont ever change the color scheme unless they feel a orange and black G1 OC board would ever work. The issue is that they will never go black and red, as they think those are the colors of the devil, their competitor asus, and the chinese. lol. I am jmaking a joke, but GB wont copy asus, color scheme included.
So they are left with black and green and black and orange of which DFI used both and was extremely successful with, thus they took it up. They also have black and blue which is typical GB. Please dont' tell me you would rather have a blue PCB.

I would be happy with solid black , Red in Asia is a power color, the Green reminds me of that slime stuff we played with as kids

Hallo everyone, very nice thread ! I purchased a Gigabyte Sniper 3 recently and i am pretty happy, no problems so far.
I would like to know if anyone has tested ddr3 2400mhz on these board. I know GB on site say 1600mhz and after that 2666mhz OC.
I currently run my setup with Vengeance 1866mhz ram with XMP enabled. Thanks in advance ! ! !

told me something, Why can I not get the onboard creative footsteps enhancement to save a input key? I select a key to activate/deactivate but it's not saved.
