Graphics Card: 3 X GTX 670 2GB ( ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte)
Hard disk: 1x Corsair F120 SATA 3 SSD
1x 1TB Western Digital SATA3 hard drive
Sound card: Onboard sound core 3d sound
Casing: HAF X
DVD drive: LG 24x dvd rom
Power Supply: Corsair HX 1050 watts power supply nvidia sli certified. 80 plus silver efficiency
Monitors : 3 x 24 inch AOC LED monitors with total resolution of 5760x1080
I am running 3 way sli with this setup. Initially had some hiccups with games freezing after 5 mins of play. I was able to overclock my cpu using ET6 up to 4.3GHZ. But games used to freeze after 5 mins of play. Then I reduced CPU to default stock settings. no overclocking. Still no effect. Finally, realized that cards were overheating and added another fan directly over cards.
Now my system is running well. I can play games on 5760x1080 resolution without incident. BUT, i cannot overclock the system anymore, If I overclock using ET6 to any of their speeds whether 4.08GHz or 4.75Ghz, my computer reboots with all my graphics cards not working and after that I cannot even boot into Windows. Keep getting some blue screen saying Memory dump. Finally had to reflash the bios to salvage sytem. At default clock settings, everything works just fine again. But any overclocking and my system crashes terribly. I am literally stumped. Is it power requirements? GTX 670 is supposed to be power efficient but on the safe side i got a 1000w power supply. What gives? have i damaged the board and should i claim warranty then?
Anyway, would appreciate any input from you guys. maybe your experience and knowledge can help me, thank you in advance.
