Gigabyte G1. Sniper 5/5M/3/M3 Owners Thread/Club - Page 30

I see BIOS F6 is out, besides the addition of Korean language & Xeon Ivy Bridge support, is there any other important change ?.
I don't think so, i haven't notice anything important as far as overclocking and stuff or extra menus, but i am feeling better than using the beta F6a.
I think its boots a little bit faster or maybe its my idea :-)

Using F6 . For some reason the bus speed is 99.7 when OC to 4.7 .

Hello everyone.

Spex:
i7 3770k@ stock (can't get into the bios >.<)
GTX 690
16 gb 2133 Corsair RAM (presumably not running at 2133 because once again... bios)
G1 Sniper3 EATX

I am having some trouble similar to what was posted around page 13/14 with regards to using a GTX 690 and being unable to enter the BIOS. I have tried moving the GTX 690 from slot 3 to slot 1, plugging the monitors into every available output slot on both the motherboard and the card itself excluding the display port.

Basically I'll be spam hitting delete because I don't see the ... BIOS Load screen I guess? The one where it tells you to hit delete to enter bios. That never appears, ever, and the first thing I see is the windows logo. I have some pretty high end monitors, 27" ASUS 3D Monitors which exact model escapes me at the moment, (if it matters what exactly they are I'll find the box in the garage and figure it out) so I tend to doubt it's a problem with them. When I spam delete I get the "Ab" response on the motherboard readout, but when something does finally load to a monitor (if at all, nothing loads when connected directly to the motherboard) I get a blinking text cursor about a tab's worth indented and maybe 3-4 lines down from the top.

Aside from unplugging the GTX 690 and then plugging straight into the motherboard, I have tried everything I can think of. (Don't want to unplug the 690 as it's a cluster**** of cables/tubing and generally speaking a real pain in the ass to do so, but possible if that's the only way).

I cannot install Lucid or the Intel 4000 drivers. Lucid tells me it doesn't detect the onboard, and when I try to install the intel drivers it tells me that I don't meet the minimum requirements to do so (<~~???????????????????????????????).

Anyway, looking for some ideas here as to what exactly is going on. I have yet to get into the bios so nothing has been tweaked there at all, and if I decide I don't want to go into the BIOS, the computer loads and runs basically fine, but I want better than just fine!

Thanks in advance.

I just went through this issue myself and found out my game controller was causing the problem. Try unplugging all but your mouse and keyboard and see if that works, then you can find the culprit by plugging in one piece at a time after rebooting. Good luck. smile.gif

No dice =(. This was one of the things I had tried previously as well after reading it somewhere in the thread. I have a logitech g510 keyboard and a razer naga mouse. Normally a xbox 360 controller is plugged in, but that's all.

Thanks for trying, one way or another we'll figure this damned thing out lol.
