Yup. Stasio has a thread on Tweak Town with all of the latest BIOSes. Might want to give it a try if F9 hasn't helped.

Hey guys

Sorry, just signed up yesturday and wondering where you can post pic of your build?.... i do have a G1 sniper m3 board and have quite yet seen other peoples builds....

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem but my G1 sniper M3 motherboard is fine thru start up but about 5min in after loading windows it sometimes freezes and resets. does it about 2 times and them is fine after that. It took me ages to get crossfire to work with my gigabyte radeon 7870, had trouble with it trying to read my second card and had to constantly reinstall drivers and CCC.

i updates my bios to f9, and problem does occur as much but still does it. i havent had any problems with crossfire now.

this is my build:

Motherboard: G1 sniper m3 - bios f9
Graphics - Gigabyte OC 7870 - crossfire - latest drivers and CCC
Psu - silverstone 750w
Ram - 8g gskills sniper
Cpu - intel 3470k - liquid cooled
Case - Corsair Obsidian 600D

i havent overclocked anything yet and probably wont till the problems fixed, when i origanally got the board, after i hooked everything up i blew all the capacitors on the board!... LMAO some how, but took it back to gigabyte and got a new one sent out and no more exploding capacitors this time. Maybe ive gotten another dodgy board.....

havent look thru everyones comments about theyre boards or problems with their bords but i was wondering if anyone has the same problem as me. sorry if ive reposted.

Gigabyte Sniper G1 m3
i5 3570k
2x 4gb a-data 1600mhz
sapphire hd7850 2gb
Tagan 800W PSu.
So the problem is that since the start my graphic card hasn't produced any video signal. I could only access bios and windows through using the integrated graphic chip but not the graphic card.
After trying the card in other pci-e slots i observed that the card works in the pci-e 2.0 x4 slot but not the pci-e 3.0 slots. My card is certified to support pci-e 3.0 so that was strange.
In bios i tried changeing the pci-e generation for the slots from auto - 3 -2 -1 and observed that when set to auto or 3 the card doesn't produce any video and only slot numer 1 and 3 work when i set it to either pci-e 2.0 or 1.0.
Can somebody explain to me why is this happening. I've been reading that many people have problems with their graphic card with sniper MB.
My sapphire card should support pci-e 3.0 but it somehow doesnt with this mobo.
thx for help anyone

when u said! that u card not support pci-3.0 u mean on idle ? or full load ? use gpuz and furkmark to stress the gpu , because in idle state , default its 1.0 for energy save

Had a question for you guys regarding the SATA ports on this MB. Should I use the Marvel SATA ports (grey ones) or should I use the intel SATA ports (white ones). I was having issues when I install intel RST driver (intel rapid storage technology). Whenever I install these drivers my computer is not able to shut down normally. And I have a hunch that the reason why this happens may be because I'm not using the intel SATA ports. What do you all think? Which ports would be better to use, would I notice a different and do you think that using the intel ports installed with iRST would solve my issue?

Thanks,

Intel ports are way better than Marvell.

Intel > any third-party controller

Hell I'd use the 3Gb/s ports over Marvell's or ASMedia's 6Gb/s any day of the week.

Thanks for your input guys, after doing a little more reading the general consensus seems to be to go with the Intel SATA ports. +1 REP!

With this being a z77 board definitely use the Intel 6gb/s ports if you want to raid 2 ssd's. The latest Intel drivers now have support for Trim in Windows 7.thumb.gif

I should say trim, in raid, in win7.....
