Hm no boot issues here. Not sure what the problem could be (if any).

Hi everyone, I just joined the club yesterday. I just installed the board, and am getting an 'AO' code on the debug LED. I can enter windows and everything seems to be working fine. What does the 'AO' code mean, and is it a serious problem? how can i solve this? Appreciate help with this. Cheers.

A0 isn't an error code. lol, it is the code you are supposed to see while you are in windows, if you aren't in windows and it hows A0, then most likely your GPU isn't working or you are plugged into the wrong output.

My board shows A0 also.

Hi Conners, thanks for replying smile.gif Its a relief to know that my board is working properly, as it was the first time i ever installed a motherboard and chip on my own... And I was pranoid that I might have not connected the hardware correctly.

Hello Guys,

I just purchased the G1.Sniper3 motherboard and am having a few issues with it that I was hoping you could help me figure out...

1. Bluray drive does not appear to be recognized. When I first setup the board the drive was recognized but it was failing to boot. I made some changes and now the drive isn't recognized at all. I've tried resetting the bios, swapping around the sata ports etc... but I still can't get it to recognize the bluray now. Any ideas what I'm missing, is there a specific port this needs to be in?

2. I had originally planned to setup my system with a 256gb SSD as the main drive, and then 4x 128gb SSD's as a secondary drive in a raid0 setup. But when I went in to set them up it appears that the Marvel controller only does 2 drives, not all 4. Is the only way to get 4 drives in a raid to use the SATA II ports?

I must say so far I am pretty disappointed in my experience with this board, I had really expected a much better experience especially considering how late they were releasing it.

1. Did you try all of the SATA ports, including the non-Z77 chip-set controlled ones and make sure the non-Z77 SATA was activated in the BIOS? How do you know if it's not the drive acting up and not the motherboard?

2. This is a limitation of the Z77 chip-set, not of the Sniper 3 motherboard. If you want to RAID that many drives, you will need a higher end chip-set.

1. I assume you mean that "SATA Controllers" are enabled, and "SATA Mode Selection" is set. If you mean something other than those, please clarify so I can confirm. I did not see a setting specifically to activate Z77 functionality. Just the individual functionality for specific components.

2. I tried all 3 sets of ports, when it was initially working it was in the white 6gb Z77 ports. I have since tried it in both the Marvel ports and the 3gb Z77 ports with no joy. I am going to pull my dvd drive from another machine just to determine if it is actually the DVD drive, but since it was originally working and otherwise seems functional I am not expecting that to work.
