H60 is junk, but so is Ivy Bridge thermal interface... Corsair probably gives temps for stock clocks anyway.

Did you set LLC to Turbo?

yeah i got one friday its going to be going back but i wanted to make sure it wasnt me, basically wanted a temp use until i get money together in a few months to build a custom loop. i had a h100 on a 8130 which was overclocked to 4.7 and rarely hit temps over 48 to 52c granted that overclock speed to a 3770k is probably around 2.1mhz lol

H60 should perform close to a high end cooler. I used a Silver Arrow (mk1) on my 2700k and at 4.9 and max load she was~85c. Its not a bad system but couple with IB, it should perform decent. What is your ambient right now?

Those temps seem a bit too high at 4.5. I do recall ~70-75c ~4.7 (with really good air flow, albeit it was summer too).

Try remounting your H60 and a new dab of tim. If you have no improvement, go back to stock clocks on the cpu. If you're still experiencing bad temps, try switching to the stock cooler to compare temps w/ the H60 at stock clocks.

my room temp is probably 60 to 70f or 21c i live in Minnesota and its about -20 below out right now. i have reseated a few times with the corsair and at one point last night running a push pull my temps hit over 100c with just playing a Facebook game i the arctic silver on

Which tim are you using?

possible stupid question but if i am running off the cpu graphics that would make my temps rise a fair amount? i am waiting on the 680 to get here should be probably by Friday but was curious if that would have anything to do with my temps jumping high

nope. if you're running simple program and applications, it shouldn't strain your cpu that much. Have you checked your load usage?

Here is what my temp speed and core temp is. to me its high for idle

Actually those temps look right with that CPU voltage. Most people will achieve 1.25-1.32v at the same frequency. And core temps climb exponentially as you increase the voltage.

-Edit- It looks like you have SpeedStep disabled. Enabling it may help improve your idle temps a little.
