I've had a few random no POSTs when I have messed with the frequency settings on my processor. The diagnostic code on the motherboard was 8 and I had to reset the CMOS to get it to boot again. Anyone know why this is happening. I could boot with these overclocks initially, and they seemed stable; I had it running at 4GHz for a couple days and today it was just like nope, and I had to reset the CMOS. Also, when I set the Vcore to 1.35 on a 4.6GHz overclock, it refused to boot, but when I set it to 1.335, it booted; why is that happening?

Also, does the PLX chip on this board work with Sandy Bridge chips, or just Ivy?

It can get really expensive but its worth it in the end. There are ways of getting a budget surround setup smile.gif

Which bios are you running? I had similar issues but it turned out to be an issue with one gpu and a pcie slot. The bclk can get unstable if you''re oc'ing. I have mine set to 100.33 just to offset the default 99.66mhz bclk.

PLX chips works with both, its just there to add the extra lanes. Think newer and better nf200 chip to allow 3-4 sli/xfire.

I'm running BIOS version F7. I have no idea what is causing this issue; I didn't make any major changes to the BIOS any time before it stopped booting.

I am getting 99.77 Bclk; that is a strange issue.

I thought the NF200 was the older chip. The one on the sniper 3 allows 4 way SLI/Xfire at x8.

Bclk seems be odd on this board when set to Auto. I just set mine manually to 100.05. Are you running multiple Gpu's
