I am getting 99.77 Bclk; that is a strange issue.

I thought the NF200 was the older chip. The one on the sniper 3 allows 4 way SLI/Xfire at x8.

Like MartinHal said, just up it a bit since it dips down (hence why I have mine set to 100.33).

try the latest beta or the previous (pre f7) bios. Which slot are you running your gpu in btw?

I'm running a single GTX 480. It's running in the top slot of the board.

Hmmmmm......just for the heck of it it, unplug your power cables on the gpu (or you can remove it completely) and use the onboard video and see if you can boot. Try the default bios settings, then try to boot up using your oc.

Yes, 480s are very inexpensive and plentiful. Would make a good Surround machine. Only down side is you're gonna need a 1500w psu to run four of them (I know biggrin.gif) and you're still pushing more then 1500w once you start oc'ing them.

I still watch my power on my setup since it will draw quite a bit of power. And 580s are a bit less power hungry then the 480s!

If you're not ready for quads, just add two more for triplets. A nice 1200w psu would suffice for the whole system.

I am able to boot up using the OC sometimes; it just randomly decides not to boot sometimes when I have it OC'd. It's only happened a couple of times.

Should I disable the CPU voltage and power usage protection features?

I doubt that they use that much power. I recall some test finding that they use a bit less than 300 watts each. I can't exactly afford the power supply needed to run them, at the moment, let alone the $400-600 needed for the 3 additional cards.

Try enabling pll over-voltage protection. That's helped me maintain my boot ups and rewakes with my oc.

They do. I did have four. I ended up running a CM 1200 + a 500w psu booster. I hit ~1750w at max (wall) load. I was very careful when oc'ing. I do recomend stick with 3 unless you want to invest in a bigger psu or a second one.

I'm pulling ~1700 (peaked at 1800w) with my current setup at the wall. I got a small 650w unit that will power the system and one card while the 1500w will take on the three remaining 580s.

here's my quad 480 build log:

Question my cpu is the 3770k and this board its overclocked to 4.5ghz but randomly google crome will crash and internet explorer will lock up along with crome. I have run a 2 hour stress test with prime and no issues. I only have the top ethernet plugged in, and running raid 0 samsung 840 120gb (x2). Any idea what would be causing this?
