I use the ET6 on my GA-X58A-UD9 MoBo and it correctly controls the same fan that I'm trying to use with the Sniper 3, however the Sniper 3's fan controller might be different and not being able to control 3-pin fans. I don't know why should I pay even more money for a dedicated fan controller since I've paid premium for the not-that-great Sniper 3 board. And if I do have to use a dedicated fan controller that should show how incompetent people from Gigabyte are to not integrate a decently working fan controller into their so called "top-of-the-line" boards. The board itself is not bad, however the integrated Creative audio card is awful compared to any X-Fi card. The integrated Bigfoot network adapter's software shows some amazing bugs sometimes. And more stuff like that. Really unprofessional stuff from Gigabyte
