Where to get keycaps

post #1 of 5
Thread Starter
I have a Filco tenkeyless with Cherry Browns and I would like some new keycaps. I would really like a dark grey/charcoal colored key with black lettering.
I was going to order the OCN keycaps, but they seem to never be in stock. Anyone know where I can get keycaps like this?

Hang on, let me look. I remember seeing a group buy from geekhack a while ago, but I doubt they have any left over.

ETA And why isn't my damn rig showing up in these posts?

Look at the picture on this post if that is similar to what you are looking for:

I hate to see if this is what you're looking for, they are kinda hard to find:

WASD keyboards has sets you can order as you probably well know. But as I look at them, I wouldn't call them "charcoal" color. More like 80's computer grey.

Here's as link: Look at the picture and notice the drop down menu
http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/87-key-cherry-mx-keycap-set.html

Here is another picture of them on Ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dark-Grey-Cherry-MX-Blank-Keycaps-104-Set-Keyboard-Key-Caps-/110882396384?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item19d11b18e0#ht_1673wt_1359

They are ABS plastic. I'm kind of a PBT snob because I think they feel a lot better (as well as sound better ~ click (ABS) vs clack (PBT)

Also check out Signature Plastics, they sell all sorts of keycaps, but they might be a little pricey. It would be best to call them and make sure you order the right thing. Here's a link;

Another option is to hop on Qtan's (user name) on geek hack) and pay him to get you a custom set. It will be expensive, you can get exactly what you're looking for. Just contact him and tell him exactly what you want. Try to provide a picture.
