Asus 670 DirectCU II TOP

Thread Starter
Im trying to hold off purchasing a 670 until the asus one comes out. It seems to be faster and better cooled for only $20 premium. Does anyone know when this card is coming out? Can anyone share any concrete info on the speed/etc? Is anyone else waiting for this card?

Yea, here. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GeForce_GTX_670_Direct_Cu_II/ as for release date I wouldn't expect it to be too much longer, it's not like it's a different card from the one they are already selling, it's just a factory overclock.

thanks! and I've heard that the asus cards are more "cherry picked" since they have to overclock higher to meet the requirements. Doesn't it also have significantly better cooling?

should I get a different 670 instead?

Yep, they are better. Not that it seems to matter right now, because they aren't for sale anywhere in the US right now (TOP or non-top). Supposedly yes it does have significantly better cooling. The only other highly recommended stock 670 is the Gigabyte.

I certainly hope so. I'm grabbing the first card I see between the Gigabyte or the Asus TOP.
