Asus 670 DirectCU II TOP - Page 102

Hey guy stupid question real quick. If I am setting up an Asus GTX 670 TOP SLI, what type of SLI bridge do I need?

Do I just use a standard 1 SLI finger to another (Like I did with the GTX 460's), or do I need one that covers both SLI fingers to both of them on the other card?

It is my understanding that only both are needed when doing a 3 way SLI, and only 1 on each card for a 2 way... is that correct? If so, do I gain anything by using all 4?

Last but not least, anyone have a preferred website to buy these bridges?

Edit: Think I figured it out... I only need a single link from one card to the other. I do not even think the dual SLI bridges are compatible with my motherboard (3 way sli bridge not compatible with 2 way SLI boards)

AKA, this is all I need
http://us.estore.asus.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=4813

Just wanted to make sure I wouldn't be loosing any performance by not using all the sli finger thingys. So impressed by this card, think I am about to camp the add to car button again for another.

I've had single on my 570's and will use single as well with my 670's. Don't think that they changed anything here.

My non TOP is stable at max boost of 1293 Mhz, but I did notice it underclocks to 1280 then rises back up to 1293 constantly during Heaven Bench.

Very satisfied with this card especially with the build quality and silent cooling thumb.gif

What temp is your card running at? If it hits 70c, it will down clock itself. Increase your fan curve to keep the card under 70c, and you shouldn't see that happen.

1280+ is impressive none the less though.

It runs at around 76c. I tried it with max fan speed and it won't go below 70c and was loud, must be my case (Corsair 600T/no side fans).
I'll keep it the way it is for now, 13Mhz is not that big deal to me anyways.

Thanks for the tip !

In Heaven at 1280Mhz my TOP card doesn't get above 67C, and fans don't need to go above 70% to maintain this temp. My case is Corsair Carbide 500R with 200mm side fan thumb.gif

During normal gaming, even the most demanding games like BF3, temps are usually 50-65C range.

Nice !

I should seriously think about adding those side fans now smile.gif

I'm gonna put mine in a 600T (white edition) as well, curious to see how it works out! I don't wanna go for side fans (I like the window), but we'll see how it goes. I would be perfectly fine with the results you're getting thumb.gif
