Asus 670 DirectCU II TOP - Page 104

My Direct CU II GTX 670 TOP is idling at 24 / 25c right now and its been on all day biggrin.gif This is one silent and cool card! It's topping out at 58c tonight when overclocks are applied! Im shocked to hear of such poor quality control from Asus though. Mine isnt without fault either but when it is working its amazing.

My card seems a bit odd. It runs heaven and 3dmarks fine, but so far it's messed up in a simple game: APB Reloaded. I mostly get a black screen with no input. It's not a full crash as sounds still play and I was even still talking to my brother on teamspeak when it happened. Hopefully to rule out other things, I put my ram back to stock and upped my cpu oc voltage a tad. I'll try this once more, and if it still crashes, I may just have to RMA. frown.gif I just find it weird it does GPU heavy things well, but not light applications... confused.gif Could be the game though too, but neither of my brothers or a friend have problems.

This thread NEEDS a poll to see how many of the cards are actually faulty.

Sucks as I was gonna get one of these but now..............

Make a separate one.. not sure hijacking this one for it would make sense but I agree that making a dedicated thread might be interesting...

Did you ship it to newegg? Through newegg I was able to print free shipping labels for UPS. Maybe its because I have a free shoprunner account. Good luck on getting a good card I'm in the same boat as you, I'd be happy with 1267mhz stable even if I can't OC it past that. If they send me another bad card I'm just gonna RMA over and over until I get one that is stable out of the box.

From the posts I've read it feels like 30%-40% of them are unstable and 60%-70% are stable. People may think the number of unstable is lower since only the ones that are unstable are posting. But how many people have an unstable card that don't know it yet hmmmmmm rolleyes.gif

It's not that it's not relevant.. just not the OP's responsibility to edit his thread on your whim - and I think that it probably makes more sense to keep it separate since I'm sure Asus plans to fix the situation - so I don't see why the poll should be a permanent appendage of this thread. But yeah, don't really want to argue about it, I just figure if you want it that you should make a thread for it.

Very happy with these cards so far.

They both boost 1293 at stock.

I haven't really figured out 'power target' and voltage on these keplers yet but a quick overclock in precision to GPU+30 (1323Mhz) MEM+300 (3305Mhz) without power adjustments is heaven stable.

Far quieter than the 8800GT they have replaced. They will probably get higher framerates in minecraft too.tongue.gif
