They both boost 1293 at stock.

I haven't really figured out 'power target' and voltage on these keplers yet but a quick overclock in precision to GPU+30 (1323Mhz) MEM+300 (3305Mhz) without power adjustments is heaven stable.

Far quieter than the 8800GT they have replaced. They will probably get higher framerates in minecraft too.tongue.gif

What's your heaven and 3dmark11 score with those clocks? Post the results.

I had this problem when I had gpu tweak installed. I uninstalled that and use afterburner with no problems.
I think there was a conflict with the initial edition of GPU tweak as things seem to work well now

Good luck on getting a good card I'm in the same boat as you, I'd be happy with 1267mhz stable even if I can't OC it past that. If they send me another bad card I'm just gonna RMA over and over until I get one that is stable out of the box.

Yes, I shipped it to newegg. I couldn't find a way to get free shipping, but did leave a note asking for reimbursement. Hmm I should check out the free shoprunner account...I would be quite interested in RMA'ing until I get a great one so long it doesn't rack up a big chubby bill. (annual fee of 80 bucks huh...hmm not sure if i do that much shopping online)

We're not stupid you know. Anyone with a Top card should leave Heaven looping for 2-3 hours at stock settings, if it doesn't crash then you have a stable card.
Looks like I'll have to be added to the list of people with an unstable TOP card. Right out of the box, I tried to run Heaven only for it to crash at stage 5-6/26. It seemed to be trying to run at 1216mhz (which seems to be a low boost given some of the numbers in this thread). The one and only time I attempted to use the packaged Asus GPU Tweak, I was red-screened within 5 minutes. After uninstalling the program, the problem disappeared (the red screen, not the unstable card). Only after installing Precision X and downclocking it to -23 did it run stable at 1192mhz (Yeah, wouldn't even break 1200) at least for an hour or so before it crashed again... madsmiley.png

Now, I'm more than willing to accept an underachieving overclocker and simply write it off as having lost the silicon lottery, but to have to downclock an enthusiast part that I spent just over $500 on (Ontario has a 13% Tax) below the advertized speeds just in order to get it to function properly is simply unacceptable to me. I've RMA'd it to Newegg so we'll see where that leads. (I put in for a replacement but the card doesn't seem to be in stock so it may be a refund instead)

so much for the selective binning - Looks like its back to the 5850 for now..... thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

I also got a free shipping label through Newegg (albeit the canadian site). All I had to do was talk to a rep through the chat and ask for it. The Rep told me that as it was DOA, they would pay for the return shipping.

Exactly. People do not understand there is a difference between red screen of death and an unstable crash.

Im shocked to hear of such poor quality control from Asus though. Mine isnt without fault either but when it is working its amazing.

I had only one RSOD using Asus GPU Tweak and GPU-z together. Since then, i uninstalled Asus GPU Tweak (i really dont like the way it manages fan profile) and using MSI Afterburner and NO RSOD so far almost a month now.

I really recommend using MSI software for overclocking over the ASUS one.
Yep i used to get RSOD but dont anymore. Although i am now plagued by a black screen of death instead where the system reboots but no signal to monitor until i unplug it at the wall and start back up manually.

Anyone else got this issue?
