Something wrong then. Ultra @ 1920X1080, 4X MSAA, 52fps average according to Fraps. What drivers were you using?

Asus 670 DCII Top will be at least $429.99 if not $439.99 retail so unless I was very patient, which I'm not, I'd just get the GTX 680 DirectCU II OC Edition for $90-$100 more since it's been popping up in stock at Newegg and Amazon in decent quantities. You'll have a faster card with likely higher overclock ceiling and who knows what availability will be like for the 670 DCII Top when it shows up.

Currently still two left in stock but they've been popping in and out all day.

I hate that three-slot DCU with a passion. It's so unnecessary and compared to the GTX 670's DCU II it's relatively inefficient as well. A proper factory air cooler does not require 3 slots IMO.(Arctic Cooling variants excluded, which have to be compatible with many models)

My two cents, anyway smile.gif

I was actually thinking about this...but one thing stopping me is the triple slot cooler....I want to get two for SLI...my motherboard does support SLI...but with triple slotted cards, they will be "stacked", versus double slotted cards, which will have a gap of space

will the triple slot cards will like crap if I stack them? I have good airflow in my haf x

Now ive had time to test it...i realise the quiet stock fan profile isnt really good enough to keep the card below 70c to prevent throttling. Therefore, you need to run the fans quite fast and then it does become noticeable. 100% fan speed isnt anywhere near as loud as previous gen cards but its still not silent.

I have tried 1300mhz core and i got a driver crash in heaven 3.0 with 90% fan speed. even at 90% fan speed it seems you cant stop the card going over 70c and throttling. The throttling doesnt really effect performance as such but it knocks 30mhz or so off your core until it cools down to 69c or less.

I dont know why they added this feature, its a little annoying but i might end up doing 'the mod' to the card to keep it cool. I just dont want to start ripping apart an expensive graphics card a few days after i got it.

Performance wise this card is still really impressive and i much prefer it to my GTX 580. Im getting better FPS all round anywhere from 5fps - 40fps depending on the game.
