+1 doesnt always only give you 1mhz, sometimes its 2 or 3 before you reach your target. for example i was getting 1298 mhz so increased it by +2 and it sat at 1299mhz. Shouldn't be as bigt a gap as your though...hmmm

It's definitely throttling based on my power percent being maxed. But I thought throttles only happened in increments of 13? It's going from 1228 to 1215. Trying to prevent that by lowering the overclock one click at a time. But it's automatically jumping down to 1215. Just seems really strange. Anyone else experience this?

This is normal my 680 did it as well. The Kepler boost works in 13mhz increments. So sometimes this can happen. Alaways happened to me at your exact clocks.

VBIOS update for GTX670-DC2T-2GD5
1. Improve 3D stability & compatiblity.
Note: Double click the .exe to update the VBIOS under OS.
Since my card is perfectly stable I'm not touching it until we know what it does, but people with problems should definitely install it since there is nothing to lose.

Ohhhh looking forward to TOP owners feedback on this BIOS...If it cures the problems it might be a winner! First TOP owner to try this please report back on if its solved your problem or not! thumb.gif

While having the display port cable plugged in there was no sound coming from the onboard sound. i had my 5.1 speakers plugged into onboard sound on both attempts.
Thats why i was thinking perhaps there was some sort of conflict between the onboard sound and the displayport sound. i am aware that the displayport also produces sound as well from the monitor, however am not sure how to turn it off/disable it. couldn't find a simple setting in control panel nor on the bios. but speakers only plugged into the onboard, nothing else. (30' dell)
Heaven Scores were in the 1400 - FPS 43 give or take 1-2 for 2nd card on 1920x1080, 8xAA, 16XAS, extreme - Tess.
So am guessing the cards are fine. I also noticed that only a handful of us are having issues and they seem to be the people whom are running the cards stock right out of the box. aside from maybe 1 or 2 that has overclocked or worst case RMA'd.
Should i commence overclock a card slightly and see if it produces the same results rather than underclocking as suggested?
Will be installing 1 of the cards into an older machine to see if same results are produced.
Thanks,

Wait ... onboard sound as in the onboard sound off the video card or off the motherboard. Sounds like you are connecting your 5.1 via optical cable to your motherboard audio port. If this is the case when you plug in your displayport you should right click the sound icon in your tray and select playback devices. change the playback device to your optical cable rather than the displayport.

Does it flicker in Heaven?

HA !
I just called them and it turns out they got more stock of both 670's , looks like i'm getting my replacement tomorrow wheee.gif
Wonder if it's going to come with this new BIOS already.

P.S I've also noticed they dropped the price of TOP a bit now it's £361.68 i paid £379.08

http://www.ekwb.com/shop/blocks/vga-blocks/fc-geforce/geforce-gtx-6x0-series.html
