Well, got my Asus Top today. Ran 3DMark and the 3rd scene it froze on me. Turned off my comp and back on and no freakin display. Plugged monitor back in onboard and it works, damn I think my motherboards pci-e slot is dead.

Tough break, did you try another slot to confirm? I think it's more likely that the card is doa.

Otherwise if colour isnt too much of an issue id recommend the Asus Sabertooth Z77 or the Asus P8Z77-V motherboards. Asus are the best!! thumb.gif

is the z77 performance better than the extreme 4?

Yeah tried it on another slot, no go. What happened was, I overclocked my cpu to 4.4 and ran prime for 3 hours no problem. Insert new card in, ran 3DMark and it froze. Changed it back to onboard and it worked, tried to troubleshoot it, updated BIOS and all. Rebooted comp and all of a sudden I can't even get past post screen. Tried to put the card in another comp and it doesn't work either. Now I think I have a dead card and a dead motherboard. Actually I'm not sure if the card is doa, it still has 2 green led that lights up and the fan spins.

Let me know when you other guys get yours from Superbiiz and everything works or if its doa.

Reset your bios to stock and see if it posts with your onboard. Sounds like a bad overclock, sometimes happens when I change things up too fast. Curious to see if a bad card actually got through ASUS top selection.

I just bought this card for 480 Euros, it was listed in other stores for 450 but was out of stock and the one I actually bought was the last one, so yeah ended up paying 30 Euros more but I am sure it's worth it !

Sold my old 6970 for 200 so all in all, 280 out of pocket not too bad for such an awesome card !

Thats not so bad though. That equivilent to £384 and i paid £359 for mine. Most retailers are selling them for £400 here. Its a great card, let us know what you think!
