What about the MSI GTX 670 OC PE? Seems like a good card but the ASUS is a definite stunner, I've seen it in a store (I'm canadian) and the heatpipes are GINORMOUS! tongue.gif

Have have had both top and non top in slightly and the Msi pe. The msi cards are WAY better...somehow they run faster. After my Max oc they destroyed me Asus top Max oc benchmarks of 3dmark11 3dmark vantage and heaven. They are quit a bit louder...the metal is the same as the Asus cards....the only thing the msi card is missing is the backplate. But take my word the msi card is crazy fast especially if you oc it.

I don't see how this makes sense they are the same gpu. At equal clocks they should be relatively equal with a small difference.

What do you mean by destroy?

not really, I think 8GB would have been enough tongue.gif unless you use programs like photoshop that needs alot of ram

Well I get 200-300 points more in 3dmark11; 1000 more graphics score in vantage and 100 more points on heaven, which is significant since they are the same card. Also I say demolish because MSI PE cards don't sag and aren't nearly as heavy as the Asus DCU cards. And I had my Asus TOP cards at 1287/1215 core and 1820 memory for both. My MSI Cards I have at 1200 core (both) and 1850 (both) memory and I am getting hundreds of points more. I haven't even bothered with the core all that much to be honest, and when the extra voltage comes into play I fully expect a hundred more points or so assuming I can get each core to 1250 which isnt a stretch IMO. I love the aesthetics of the Asus cards BUT the MSI PE really performs better. My NON TOP Asus Cards were literally 1500 points less than the MSI for the Extreme 3dmark11 test which scored *3-5 FPS more per test*, Heaven was 100 something less, and Vantage was 600 points less *1000 more points in the graphics score for MSI*. Once again thats pretty significant considering they are the same card and the Asus had a MUCH higher Core clock and a similar memory clock. It may not be 690 to a single 670 demolish but for being the same card its extremely good.

The only way this is possibly true is that your CUII were throttling, which I find odd unless they've (ASUS) stuffed up the CUII cooler. I just can't see any other way you're scoring more with lower clocks otherwise.
