The non top is literally the same card but without the factory overclock. You can just use afterburner. There might even be a couple in the for sale section here for a good price. wink.gif

I don't know about that, there are a lot of DC2s that couldn't handle the oc, thats why they lowered it in a bios update. I've always questioned the whole "binned" card routine. I highly doubt that they test every gpu. Maybe there is a chance of a slightly higher asic quality but that doesn't really mean much.

There was a thread from the ROG forum that showed them binning Top cards. The recent problem was just that they underestimated the kepler boost on these cards.

Even after the new bios I have yet to see a Top card that can't do at least 1200. Can't say the same for non tops.

This is true, i have yet to see a TOP not hit 1200mhz. After the whole BIOS change, it seems like TOP cards are doing all right now smile.gif I say get a TOP just because, but if they aren't available ...you can always risk getting a non-TOP. I put Noctua NT-H1 on both my NON TOPs earlier today....I can't run my benchmarks just yet, because its still very hot....I have to wait till later tonight when the ambient is around 70F....then I'll run them, and compare it to my results with the stock TIM....I already ran tests with stock TIM yesterday, and the ambient was 70F in my room.....so I want to wait till then and run them
