Nvapi won't report any higher than 1.175. Even if you hard mod the card. Does it run any hotter or oc any better?

Thats just gpu boost in action. Every card runs faster than advertised. Thats how gpu boost works.
I don't care what they said on ROG forums. Asus isn't testing every gpu, they don't have access to the wafers. I don't see how they could bin the cards other than possible you asic quality and even then cards of the same asic quality can and will oc differently.
They pretty clearly showed setups with tons of cards being tested and explained the process. One pic showed them running heaven.
If what you say is true then you would see people out there with Top cards only hitting 1150 or some low clock like that. And I have yet to see one. In the 670 stats thread there is two top cards in the poll that chose 1100mhz+. Less than all the others but I guess there is a few out there. Who knows that might mean 1198mhz though.
Everyone knows how boost works here. They just set the base clock too high at first not realizing how high some of these cards will boost on their own.
And for the record I had two 680's and a GB 670 that did not boost any higher than the stock advertised speed.
