When disregarding actual card/PCB quality/reliability, the DirectCU II twin-slot cooler itself is a masterpiece.

It should be the new standard for card from now on. The only problem about these cards is that they die.

They just die, out of nowhere, they drop dead.

Amazing cooler. It is the reason I chose this card to start with vs another brand, like MSI. So quiet, and cools great.

Yup I agree...its a masterpiece.....I also owned a WF3 prior to getting my DC2, and the DC2 is noticeably quieter....at stock settings, it won't be noticeable between the two....but definitely the DC2 starts pulling away once you turn up the fan speed on both cards....and most people don't run stock fan settings anyway

And just like Edufurtado says, the biggest down side is these cards seem to be dropping like flies redface.gif

I was going to buy Asus but now I am thinking much more about Gigabyte Windforce x3 / x2 . However no idea which (x2 vs x3) will be the most similar with Asus cooling system...

In General I like the TOP ASUS Cards, but tend to be pricy, I bought a EVGA 670 FTW Edition. and its definitely hard to beat for the money EVGA ask and together with their rock solid customer support.

Thanks for posting you guys.

Take it easy...

Edit2: Fixed, read 2 post down.

Well I got my RMA today and I think Asus gave me ANOTHER BAD CARD! mad.gif From the second I booted into windows nothing felt smooth. Every like 5-15 seconds, I get this 1/2 second stutter, even in the desktop. I tried using driver sweeper and cleaned off the old ones for good and reinstalled, but still the same problem. The worst part is this seems to be a good clocking card. I went up to 1340mhz in Heaven before crashing.

Any ideas? My computer is unusable right now with these jitters.

Edit: Going to try the beta drivers. I'm also considering flashing a new bios if that doesn't work.

that sucks. try it in another pc and if it does the same you can safely say it's the card.

Well after trying all the drivers without success, and failed flashing a new bios, I took the card out and plugged it back made sure it was connected well in the pci-e slot, and now it seems to work! biggrin.gif I'll post back if I have any more news.

you'd better cool it with those bios flashes. hope nothing goes wrong.
