Asus 670 DirectCU II TOP - Page 24

The sad thing is, I woke up at 6am today and totally checked newegg to find the top wasn't even listed...then I reread the thread during lunch break time, and BAM! sold the F out...I hate you guys who bought it for SLI...sharing is caring; just saying.

I hope Auto-Notify finds me at the right time!

Got my brand new Asus GTX670 Top installed, quickly run 3dmark and heaven with factory settings these are my results.

462

http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3504781;jsessionid=1ap8ev3ngkpoq1fxrzd1cfajun

700

Awesome card straight out the box, Graphics score in 3dmark is almost 10k at 9985 and can only get better when I start to take it further up in clocks.

Furthermore this damn card is so quiet it makes me wonder if my PC is working, hell my desktop is now quieter than my damn laptop !

They literally set an overclock limit..and you can't pass it..period.
On one card I had..I think it was 960 Mhz..You get some kinda pixelated square in the middle of your screen
you have any shred of proof for your claims? just because you can't OC already heavily OCed card a lot doesn't mean Asus is gimping it ...doh.gif

BUT BRO! He gets a pixelated square in the middle of his screen, that's clearly an issue only with Asus GPU's! rolleyes.gif

Auto notify is useless. You just need to check Newegg as much as possible. Or that now on stock site I think has an app.

My 680 is a DC II OC version, but it's flashed with a TOP BIOS. So the default clock is 1137 MHz with boost of 1202 MHz, just like on the box. In game though, it actually boosts to 1280 and doesn't even blink. Hit's 1350 MHz (+70 offset) at stock voltage. I think this card is great.

Just because YOU had bad experiences with a/an Asus card(s), doesn't mean it is fact. Stop posting like these are "known" issues lol, seriously. You sound mad, bro.

If only Asus didn't have the one of the best return policies and costumer service in the GPU manufacturing industry.. OH WAIT, it does rolleyes.gif

Lord, saying Asus suck and then recommending EVGA, lol. That's why they didn't have any problems with their 670 Superclocked amirite? EVGA has **** QA, but they have to treat their customers good or else nobody would buy their ****. Although I had a doa card by Asus, doesn't mean they suck.

People who are wondering performance of Non-Top versions, please check my posts, I have one and it's top notch.

I might post much better results this weekend (probably tomorrow). In summary, currently my card is running at ~1320-1350MHz with several Heaven passes without problem and 1-2 hours of BF3 game play without problem.

- I haven't played with memory settings yet and it's on stock now, i will also play a bit in the weekend.
- Card is running hot, but i also haven't played with custom fan settings. I normally observe around 72C with BF3.
- I think I didnt find the max overclock potential yet.
- I am planning to run @ 1300MHz on daily use and it performs really really good
