bad advice. just like the guy above says, if card is crashing at stock they should RMA asap. if they ever plan to sell it in the future it will be a nightmare selling card that crashes @ stock settings.

What bad advice? I never said for them to downclock and keep the card, what I meant was the *stock boost* is 1229(sweet spot) which is why they have to downclock for it to run stable. Of course RMA that **** if you're crashing. No reason why anyone have to rely on a software to have a stable card.

I'm giving ASUS a break because of the non-reference design, and because this card really is amazing.
If you can't handle stock boost then you should RMA.

Why not? You're only guaranteed a 1137 boost with the Top card, anything higher is a bonus. It was already known that some non Top would boost about the same or even better than a Top. What you get with the Top is an overclocked card out of the box without having to fiddle with AB/precision.

So I buy TOP version of the card (factory overclocked) and I need to underclock it to get it stable? I think it is not good advice, dogimed.
Card should be stable straight out of the box if it is not means card is broken.

Go reread my 2nd post. RMA IT TO YOUR RETAILER!!!

BTW I have this huge problem with Heaven benchmark and got a question. Whenever I up the core clock and run heaven, it'll crash. A few crashes later i'll revert to stock settings and then my FPS is like 25-30. Is this a known problem with Heaven or did my card throttle itself since it kept crashing? A reboot would fix this. My card isn't defective is it?

Getting a crash in unigine

d3d11appwindow::swap_window(): device removed unigine

Looks like the card is unstable from what everyone else seeing this msg has said. Mine is stock.

REALLY man there are about 6 out of 10 ppl having issue with this VIDEOCARD, stay away from ASUS my friend, go EVGA FTW you wont notices any difference. i have read this forum complete and there are more than 1-2 folks having problems so dont push ppl to buy something that could be potentially
damage, because u want more justification for your purchased
