Asus 670 DirectCU II TOP - Page 87

Hey guys, quick question.. When playing Diablo, does anyone else notice a vertical blur near the bottom 33% of the screen? It only does it on Diablo 3, no other games. Need to be moving and it does not always do it. Depends on the graphic on the screen at the time.

Could this be me trying to push the memory clock too high? It only does this in D3.

Edit: I think it had to do with V-sync and getting 150fps without it... If I turned off Vsync, the tear t got much worst... I originally had VSync and Adaptive Vsync on at the same time and now that I only have Adaptive Vsync on, it looks much better. They may of been fighting.

Could be game related sincd it just came out but I don't have that game either. Bf3 had tons of issues on some setups at launch.

Yeah I don't really see the harm in this...

There is a small checkbox at the bottom of precision that says load on startup. Just have that checked and it will load your settings when windows loads.

I usually run heaven in window mode if i want to watch the clock/temps while it is running.

With the TOPs as long as it doesn't crash on stock you are golden. Congrats you have a working TOP card unlike others who crash on stock and have to RMA.

Thing is, the card is not really running at stock, because it boost to high because of the better vrm - more efficient design, so the card clock higher, but even then its lottery.

I think the double vsync was definitely your issue. I had double AA on at one point in testing and the game looked extremely blurry. Basically AA was applied twice, once through Nvidia's setting (FXAA) and once in-game.

What I did was setup a custom profile for Diablo in the Nvidia control panel. That way I can have the settings I want for D3.

Also there were reports of adaptive vsync causing stuttering issues in D3. I'm not sure if it was a driver or game issue.
