Compatible ports for GTX-690

Thread Starter
I was looking at the GTX-690 specs. The ports available are 2 dual link dvi-i (I think) and 1 dual link dvi-D plus another one which I don't remember.

I also looked at the monitors available here in Pakistan. Their standard connectors are listed as VGA, DVI-D and HDMI. Now how do I know whether they're single-link or dual link? Are the two compatible?

Another question: How will the Dell st2420 24inch led go with the GTX-690? It's affordable and the most commonly available monitor over here. Apart from this there isn't much choice of monitors especially in Lahore.

you will be able to connect to that monitor using a dvi cable or a hdmi lead no problems.

GTX 690 is a bit over the top for 1080p.

Dual link is more for 120Hz monitors iirc smile.gif

But it will still work great won't it? There aren't any monitors over here with a greater screen rez than this and I can't afford a mutli-monitor solution.

Great, someone is already asking questions about the new 690 and ports .... I am also going to buy ASUS GTX 690 and currently searching for a good LED monitor for it with full hd 3d. I plan to play games in 3D as well. Hence, my question.... GTX 690 only has 1 DIV-D and 2 DVI-I ports. Looking at my requirement to play 3D (120Hz monitor) what should be my connection method to my full hd led monitor ?

I am looking for a monitor so i can buy something with that particular port (whatever comes out to be the best connection method b/w 690 and monitor to support 3D and resolutions upto 2560 x 1600)
