Upgrade and sensors

Well guys I have enough money to do another upgrade and so far I'm thinking I am gonna take the advice of those who rated my rig and upgrade cpu first.

Everyone has suggested a +3700 San Diego which @ $99+shipping is more than feasible and I can order today, but I have also seen that the Opty 148 venus is $149+shipping. I can do this if I wait until the end of the week. What I want to know is if I overclock the Sandy to 3.0 will it out perform the Opty?? Also if I do the Opty will I be able to fold AND game at the same time?? I'm leaning towards the Opty but I obvioulsy won't able to get as wild a clock as the sandy.

Edit: moved sensor question

Thanks again guys

For your first question - Why would you spend more money on a chip if you know it's not going to perform as well? Get a San Diego, go crazy with your overclock, and save the $50 for something else.

Well I figured the sandy would be better for my gaming and folding like I currently do, but I thought that there might be more performance from 2 cores running at same speed as the chip I have now and possibly still be able to fold at same time as gaming with opty. Is it true?? This is why I am asking the all knowing Overclock.net, since yall have had the best advice for everything I've currently done to this setup.

The Opteron 148 is single core... nearly identical to the San Diego. The lowest dual core Opty is the 165, which is a killer overclocker, and about $170.

AHHH enlightenment Maybe I should hold out for that then since I could still probably swing that too by the end of the week. My ignorance for not reading about the opty's a bit more since I thought they were all dual core. Thanks

Edit: I'll be back from work later, keep those suggestions coming
