Why doesn't Logitech have a mechanical keyboard?

Thread Starter
Seems like all other manufactures and even companies that don't make keyboards have launched mechanical keyboards, what's taking Logitech so long to jump on the bandwagon?

They don't need to put out a mechanical keyboard to charge the prices they do, so why add more to the cost of manufacturing?

I don't think they realize what a market it would be yet. Or maybe...they're in development and haven't announced it yet....

Why would anyone want them too? When it comes to keyboards, they don't like to stand behind their products. The G510 is a prime example with the damn doubletapping spacebar.

Its the same reason why they haven't reissued a G1 with the g400 sensor.

their products are out of touch with the market.
I guess they're more focusing on mobile/tablet products now.

I wish they would. Im a huge Logitech fan and buy a lot of their stuff. The G510 is one of my alltime favorite keyboards even with the double tap issue. I love all the features it has and the software is superb. A G510 with Cherry Blues would be my ideal keyboard I think. A lot of people, especially gamers, dont like the blues but I do. I like the tactile feel they have and the click doesnt bother me that much. Drives my wife crazy......but thats ok. devil-smiley-019.gif

It's weird, Logitech refreshes the MX518 as the G400 but they don't release a mechanical keyboard.

Maybe Logitech doesn't see any profitable benefits from creating a line of mechanical keyboard, remember nowadays is all about money. Which sucks, because this is the only thing most people, and companies care about :/ - even though no one will get anywhere in the world with funds.

They would just put a lcd screen on it and charge $250 anyway, claiming it to be the second coming. rolleyes.gif
