it`s cheaper but if you get A70 for 35$ go for it , if you dont 212+ and 2x sickleflow fans

The Hyper 212+ is incredible. Take a look at these stats.

The Frio costs around $60 for 2.5 degrees F better cooling.

The Mugen costs around $55 and is 2.5 degrees worse than the Hyper 212+.

The A70 is a degree or two better (not shown on the chart) but still a lot more expensive than the 212.

Ultimately it comes down to this. Once you know you can get the 212 that is on par or better than most other air coolers, are you still willing to spend 30-40 more dollars for a few degrees better cooling? That doesn't take into account any extra fans you purchase either. The one thing that I can say against the 212 is that I am not a fan of it's looks (or lack therof). Some of the other CPU coolers definitely look a lot nicer than a big brick of heatsink, but that boils down to personal taste. thumb.gif

If you are looking for the cream of the crop without looking at money, then you may want to take a look at the Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme. And it looks pretty. biggrin.gif

PS: As with all charts, take this one with a grain of salt. YMMV

Also, looks like there is a refurb 212 sale on Geeks.com per this thread.
