Need help for cpu overclock (Ivy bridge + asus auto tune)

cooler - Thermaltake Flexi CLP0589

i7 3770K .

Can i overclock my cpu to 4.5 GHz ? I want to try asus auto tuning in fast mode (my motherboard Asus p8z77-v

Just afraid of powerfull of cooler.

I`m noviece at all this, and just want to press auto tune button, but feel a little fear

You are going to need water cooling. I can't get my 3570k past 4.5GHz with my h60. My cpu runs cooler in general if you weren't aware of that fact. So I'd buy like an h80 if you want to see 4.5 or higher.

Also from what I've heard the auto tune isn't a good thing to use. i haven't actually used it myself but from what I've seen and heard it sets your voltage too high which could have long term damage to your cpu.

This. Auto tune uses too much voltage. Not only is this potential long term damage, but also higher temps!

Needing water cooling is bad advice. There are air coolers that are approaching 5.0GHz, there are water coolers that can't get over 4.5GHz. This chip, more so than any other, is victim to the Silicon Lottery. Either you got a good one, or you got a bad one.
