Few problems with new build..

Hey guys,

I'm having a few little problems here and there with my build and i want to make it as stable as possible.

Build:

Intel i5 3570k @ Stock (CM 212 EVO cooler)
MSI Z77-GD65
MSI 6970 Lightning 2GB
Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB 1600MHz CL9
OCZ 700W ModXstream PSU
NZXT 810 White
Intel 330 120GB SSD
Samsung F3 1TB
WD Green 1TB
Brand new Samsung DVD drive

So as you can see it's a damn nice build that shouldn't lag or run slow.

1. BSOD
I have been getting BSOD's (PFN_LIST_CORRUPT) which i believe is to do with ram when my ram is run on 1600MHz (What it should be) since the board defaults at 1333MHz. In order to avoid the BSOD's, i have to run the ram at 1333MHz. Not a massive deal but i would like to know what is wrong as this also happened on another build of mine with same speed ram.

2. Games not starting
After installing certain games eg: GTA EFLC, Medal of Honor that use disc checking, it takes an awful long time to load into the game and it doesn't even start usually saying the disc is not legit or blank (untrue as it is an original with no scratches). I tried something in Bitdefender (my antivirus) but that didn't work.. Strange. Crysis 2 and a few other games start fine along with all Steam games..

3. Slow install menus
It's a bit hard to explain but when i put in say a game disc to install a game, it takes a long time to show up in auto play and once i execute the disc (even manually) it takes longer than it should to load into the install and go through the process which, again is quite weird and is not right for a high end pc with an SSD even?? (Remember, brand new disc drive and its Samsung too)

Any help greatly appreciated!

Cheers guys!

PS: While your at it, what do ya think of my build??

Were you using those HDDs or SSD in a previous computer?

Sure have. Both HDD's were from my old build but aren't old and were formatted once Windows was installed on the SSD which is the booth drive (Brand New)

That's probably it then I would try reformatting it again. Everything else looks fine.

Srsly? Reformatting is not a small task. Everything is installed and it will takes days to put it back on. What has a HDD got to do with it??

The same thing happened in a build I made reusing an HDD and reformatting fixed the slowness. Look in storage.

Your RAM is probably rated for DDR3 1600MHz CL9@1.65V, did you bump up the voltage in the BIOS?

Ok so ill try the reformat as that seems like the only option as much as I don't want to... I don't want to have to reinstall steam games so if I copy them off, reformat and replace them will the problem continue over? That's basically whatbi did last time to copy the games over.

as for the ram, even though it is brand new I will do a memtest tonight cause so far I have no solid reason as to why its bsoding on me at 1600mhz. fyi, the ram is corsair vengeance 2x4Gb blue sticks at 1600mhz 1.5v. I understand there may be a fix but y in the first place is my mobo undervolting?? Weird...
