[VR-Zone] Chrome takes over as browser king - Page 5

I go through periods of using different browsers. Chrome is always installed but rarely used these days. Hard to beat Waterfox IMO.

I agree. I use Chrome every day, and only use Firefox when I need to inspect a hover function in the developer tools. (Chrome doesn't show the hover functions or actions when you inspect element) I like the simple interface, speed and lack of crap you don't need with Chrome. After using Chrome for so long it feels weird going back to a browser with a large toolbar, as I feel like I need to close stuff, lol.

Oh, and ALL the browsers use data collection.

Same for me. I used Chrome a lot then, but FF 12 (especially Waterfox 12) runs great IMO, although the plugin container still crashes every now and then.

Very simplified :
FF blocks the ad during the loading process of a website. So the ad is not present on your computer as such.
Chrome blocks the ad after loading the page, meaning, it's on your computer and gets blocked/hidden afterwards.
Which is why I get pop-ups in Chrome on websites where I don't get any pop-ups on Firefox. I also still get some ads on Youtube with Chrome, I get none on Firefox.
Feel free to test it on TPB. It's fully blocked on FF with adblock+, yet Chrome doesn't block some of the ads (pop-ups)
I don't doubt people will try to convince me that this isn't true but I'm talking about my personal experience, which beats any "facts" that are spread on the interwebs.

I've shared this experience and use FF for this sole purpose; I will never see ads unless I want to, period.

So it certainly has its uses.

This is may be due to IE adhering to the security protocols setup by your IT department based on settings while Chrome isn't, if my assumptions are correct.
