It would probably piss off investors like no other, specially since they are down 40% in profits since last year.

Recently bought? Why wouldn't you go with 7870's instead?
This is why you buy the WARRANTY, lmao. Because you never know. I'm sticking it out with my 580's until they get all the bugs worked out, but I will have a pair of the 680's once they do. Awesome cards thumb.gif

Did anyone else notice the 580 price jump? I looked on Micro Centers site, and they jumped up almost $80 for the 3gb 580's. Wonder if this has anything to do with it

I don't believe it, but.....

Maybe NV learned from bumpgate, fix it now or pay out the ass in 5 years.

No offense but the stuttering is caused by drivers, not by deffective cards, Nvidia has already confirmed and said a fix for that will come in the WHQL drivers to be released in June. wink.gif

I use no vsync, so it ain't a problem for me, and even in games where I do (Offline games mostly) I don't have the stuttering, and trust me, I am very sensitive to stuttering, it really annoyed me on the 2x HD6970 CFX I had and the HD5970. doh.gif

The performance degradation is nonsense, I have yet to see anyone suffering from that, that's what AMD wish happened. thumb.gif

I have yet to have any problem with this GTX680 SLI in any game, only exception is Diablo III in windowed mode which doesn't seem to like SLI much, not a problem though as a single GTX680 can easily max it at 2560x1440. tongue.gif

thinking.gif....Curious.

I had 5970 and now 6990 and never had microstuttering problem. Last year tried Gtx570 sli and no stutter too, game experience is identical like 5970/6990. My next Card (for this) is 7990 biggrin.gif.

P.D - I think this article is only a rumor, im sure.

gk110 For Geforce lineup ?this will would the reasson
post #60 of 131
See the problem is just because the users have not seen degredation yet does not mean it's not happening. Like the rumor says this could be totally untrue and it probabally is but this would be far from the first recall in the history of electronics. It is certainly possible it's true. Now as far as the stuttering goes that is obviously a driver thing and nothing to get worked up about.

Anyway I am going to go ahead and buy one and just pray to the silicon gods this isn't true in the first place but let's not pretend like it's impossible.
