Ok, i have some experience in the stock market. I have a modest equity & bond portfolio. In my opinion valuations of companies like facebook are pretty much always bull****. This goes for both the bulls & the bears. There is really not enough data to value facebook. For one it's a growing company so it's really difficult to say where it will be in the next few years. Secondly it's revenue model is not mature & ambiguous to say the least so any real forward forecast is bogus. Thirdly their dividends history is almost non-existent. When you cannot have a solid valuation for a company like facebook, everything depends on what you can convince next person. The problem with shares like that is that they tend to go both ways fairly fast. So having said this i wouldn't be surprised if facebook ends up being 50+ in a couple of months.
As for all the people lining up to sue facebook, they have no one to blame but themselves.
