Cooler Master Elite 361

I've been considering this case because of its small size and full-size ATX compatibility. I also found the front-mounted PSU location interesting (albeit not as a novelty).

If you've used this case before, what thoughts do you have of it?

I haven't used that one..but I've seen it and it looks good! Cable management and everything!
edit:I'm not a case man..I have the side panel off..wc tubes..fan bolted on to blow on the Northbridge..
but if I was..I'd get one like that biggrin.gif
I have its predecessor..the Elite 330..It was nice before I got ahold of it :lachen.gif:

just to let you know, that case is huge, i have one in my basement, i am using for a customers htpc. it is really nice case it is very tall desktop case. will fit quite a range of coolers as well.

Thank you for the thoughts. I'm starting to think I should have placed this in the modding subforum, since I had several ideas in mind.

How sturdy would you say the case is overall, by the way?

It came in the post yesterday, and despite the minimal packaging it was thankfully in perfect condition.

Unfortunately I won't actually have anything to put in it for a while, but I like what I've seen so far. The construction is solid for its size and price, and two additional pluses would be the good cable routing options and (of course) the full-size ATX compatibility. So far, the only detractor is that punch-out inserts were used for the expansion slots. I'll at least give credit for the fact that, as aforementioned, the metal is sturdy enough so that the area surrounding the expansion slots didn't warp pathetically on their removal - or at all for that matter (something that I can't say the same about regarding many low and mid-tier HP and Compaq cases).

Now to consider my modding options - in a different section of the forum, anyway!

Thanks for the thoughts on it downlinx and Schmuckley.

Edit: I forgot to mention that enough standoffs weren't included for full ATX boards. thinking.gif I have quite a few spare, but I'll have to file that under detractors as well.
