Lamptron FC5 V2 & Ultra Kaze 3000s!

Hi
I was just wondering whether it is possible to fully turn off fans using the FC5 V2. I plan on putting my Ultra Kaze in the VGA duct in my HAF X so i only want to really turn the fan on for when things get toasty.
I might try and mess around with the airflow in my case and put the Ultra Kaze on my heatsink to see if it benefits, but ive heard it can click when undervolted; how loud are they at around 2000rpm? i currently run the original corsair fans on my A70 at around 1000rpm under load. Would it be a good idea to make my rear 120mm fan as intake, stick the ultra kaze on the rear side of the heatsink blowing towards the front of the case, id have the only the top of the case as exhaust and it would consist of a 200mm fan and id probably just stick one of the corsair fans up top so that it isnt just lying around.
Input would be much appreciated, thanks.

Yes the FC5 can fully turn off the fans. I have one and usually keep all fans at 50% and there are no problems

I have 5 AP-15s that are hooked up with two that have a splitter and are using the same channel. I used to use this fan for awhile, but do not anymore.http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products/fans/slip-stream-120-mm-slim.html. Not Ultra kaze but same company.

I had no troubles with it. The FC5 can handle 30 watts a channel so I think you will be fine. Not sure if that helps

thanks for the input, my main worries are about the Ultra Kaze whining when undervolted, so the next step is to turn it off then turn it on when need
thanks again, youve been very helpful

I run 3 UK3000s on my FC5 v2 and have no problems turning them down or off. Mine don't "whine" when running slow
