Will this run Diablo 3 decntly?

My friend has a comp that can run diablo 3 except for the fact he is using on board graphics. Would this card run it decently on lower settings? He needs to stay in the 50$ price range.

What resolution is he running? What are his other specs?

GT520 is barely adequate. He will want something else.
THG did a roundup with low end cards. While the GT520 isn't one of the tested cards, a similarly powerful card, the 6450, is tested.

I agree, 520 at the minimum. This OEM GT340 for $50 would serve him pretty well. About the same performance as a 6570, but a little cheaper.

Also, if he has his mind set on the 520, check out this one: Zotac 520 for $39 without a mir. It is refurb, but with a 90 day warranty, it works or it doesn't thumb.gif I put one in my daughters system for WOW and it works great at 1366x768 resolution.

Also, check out this one: Open box Gigabyte 6670 for $51shipped.

Thanks for the replies, +rep all around.

I am unsure of his exact specs, i can post them once i get home. I know he has 8 gigs of ram and i think a decent processor. His monitor right now is crap but he may upgrade so i think he would like the card to handel 1920x1080 on diablo3 and run smoothly. Would the 6570 do this for him?

He isnt at all set on the 520, he just needs something to run diablo3 that is in the 50-60 price range.

If he has a crappy monitor and doesn't mind dropping the resolution down a bit, then yes, it would be playable. Keep in mind that this is Diablo3.. which means 2 things:
-Processor plays a very big part. If he has a Sandy/ Lynnfield etc CPU, that's a huge plus.
-Low FPS are still quite playable. If he drops detail, and caps his FPS at 30, it wont be beautiful, and it wont be smooth, but it will be perfectly playable. I'm running d3 @ high settings @ 1080p on a 5770, which is a pretty crappy card.

If he plans on running 1080 res, the 6570 might not be enough. May be better off looking in the OCN marketplace for a used 8800gt or GTS250.

If you could muster up a little more, this would be a great way to go: GTS450 for $70 shipped. Figure no tax or anything, so just the $70. This would easily get him playing @ 1080.

His processor is an AMD phenom II X6 1090T. Please tell me this is ok for Diablo 3! Also, so a 6570 is his best bet if he was buying new?
