i have a 250 running in a friends rig that run at 1080 on max no aa jsut fine...

Yeah, the 520 I put in my daughters rig was ok, but I upgraded her to a GTS250 512mb and it is worlds better, even with less memory.

im actually surprised at the power of a 250.. for an older card it really pulls through for me. I managed to get it to 925 core XD its an oem. doesnt even have a brand on it. I love the little guy. im thinking abotu modding a build i have so i can use him as a physx card for my 6970's

but on topic. you can get away with an older card like a 250 which can be had for next to nothing now adays.
