Has anyone gotten 2400mhz memory to work on 1155 boards?

Ive been tossing around a few new types of ram to try, and I was messing with my bios and noticed there was a 2400 multiplier. Would the memory "optimized" for z77 boards thats 2400mhz run on 1155? Has anyone tried this?

Iv seen some people try and not be able to get it to work i thought i remmber reading asus left it in by mistake but they still havet removed it even with more bios updates so thats probly wrong. I have got my 1866mhz ram running 2210 on my p67 but thats still not 2400mhz.

Youre using the sniper 1866? Is that 1.5 or 1.6v?

It's only going to work for Ivy Bridge CPU's. SB's IMC just can't push ram that far as far as I know.

This is correct. There are some Engineer sample (ES) SB chips out there that were able to run 2400 (or so the rumors claim), but SB will not be abloe to run 2400 because they do not have that divider available onthe chip. IB can though.
