CORSAIR H100 Question.

Thread Starter
I know that CORSAIR H100 is not really a true WC system, so please do not bash it please. I was able to grap a new one for free.
Now for my question.
How good would it be with 4 AP-15 on it vs NH-D14 cooler?

Is so a real WC system... just sucks in comparison to custom, has almost no expandability, and requires no maintenance other then dusting.

I'm pretty sure the H100 roughly ties with the NH-D14, but it does have a few bonuses:

1: You can keep all your ram slots
2: You have 4 fans, not 2, so they can run quieter
3: You aren't hanging 3lbs of metal off your PCB

It happens to require 2 120mm slots in return, but if you have a big enough case anyway...

Oh, and bonus points for the irony.

One related comment:-

The H100 radiator is 27mm thick. I do not think you will be able to fit 27mm + 25mm (pull fans thickness) + 25mm (push fans thickness) to the ceiling of the case. Instead, I think you will have to do a little mod to put the radiator on the roof. Just be prepared.

I think of put 2 fans on the out side and mount the H100 and the other 2 fans on the inside.

H100 + 4 ap-15s rock...obvy not as much as a full on custom loop. but im at 4.5ghz with 3770k, folding 24/7 with 99% usage and around 42-45*C. going for 4.8 once this wu is done.

I'm at 4.9ghz on 6 cores on my FX-8150 with a NH-D14 with 2 AP-15. I'm hoping to hit 4.9ghz on all 8 cores with this H100.
