So yesterday I put in an order for an EVGA GTX 670 4gb SC with Tigerdirect. Their rep said the cards are backordered for 7 to 10 days, so I may have time to cancel. After I placed the order, I came on overclock.net and saw all the posts about 670 SC's having tons of issues and many people having to RMA them. Are those from a different batch than what will be coming into stock soon, or should I expect a good chance of having to RMA my card when it arrives? Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can offer.

If your so concerned, why don't you just cancel the order and find another model to buy? Or you can wait, RMA that model if it has the correct model number for the recall, and get a FTW as a replacement.

Personally i wouldn't worry, it's only a small amount of cards that are affected and even if you do end up with a problem card you can get an EVGA FTW as a replacement.

I thought the recall was for the 2GB cards since the 4GB ones are not even out to buy yet.

When I spoke to TD they said the item would ship in 7 to 10 days, is it really not even out yet? I assumed it was just backordered like every other 600 series card seems to be.

Lol it won't even be out until mid June said directly from EVGA themselves considering there's no delays which have been rampant through the whole 600 series. Tiger Direct scams customers by saying items are in stock or will ship soon (when they're really not) to lock in your sale. If you want a refund it may take a week or two to get your money back but they figure most people won't so they pretty much lie to you and take your money while they rack in millions of dolars in free intrest (kinda like GameStop with preorders)

I feel as though that's not true. I don't particularly enjoy TigerDirect myself, I only use it for the cashback I get through my credit card, but as far as I can tell they won't be charging me for the card until it ships, so they definitely aren't racking up interest on the sale. I just cancelled the order and they handled it in a matter of 2 minutes with zero issues.
