Once TXAA starts deploying games, well, it will be game over for that debate. I would go ahead and go with the 670 with that in mind.

I was debating between 1155 and 2011 for about a month before I made my purchase. I went with the 3820 just because I can upgrade to IB-E next year if I feel the need.

Running 4.6ghz 24/7 now and never hitting above 75C with a H80 in push/pull. I say go with your original plan thumb.gif

i vote for 2011 there..maybe get 2 22" monitors and a 3930K?
btw..the Samsung RAM is much better than the current Corsair offerings.
I'd stay away from AsRock.
PSU @ 650w is not sufficient to power a 135w tdp cpu (b4 oc'd) and a high-end graphics card.
If you oc at all..it will reboot.
doh.gif and he picked an xfx mad.gif
if you don't plan on ever ocing your videocard..or maybe just a ho-hum overclock..xfx is OK
they're sturdy..they have good vrm cooling..but they lock out the overclocking
no voltage control..so what you get with stock volts is what you get..period..
well...unless you're on the volt mod squad, i guess

Like I said man, TXAA will only be available exclusively with nvidia cards. 4xTXAA will run better performance than 16(maybe 32, idk)xAA with the performance cost of 2xAA. There is a good chance that those stats in that aren't totally correct, I am going off the top of my head.

But either way, its something that is going to outperform standard AA by a LOT and it will be 1/4th or less of the performance cost.

The 7970 is pretty much head and head with the 680 (once taken overclocks into effect, without a OC, 680 stomps it). Take the TXAA into account and the 7970 will be left in the dust.

Out of the box the 680 will outperform the 7970 a bit, though it somewhat levels out with overclocking. The current drivers for Nvidia are much, much better than AMD's though.

What about this PSU?
