Im familiar with that problem, not 100% sure how to get around it though.

Try adding a pause between the wait and the launching of explorer.

"ping 127.0.0.01 -n 5" will suffice if nothing else.

well Start C:\Windows\Explorer.exe seems to be working on a command line level....I'll edit this post and let you all know how it goes

edit: It starts explorer but we're back to it refusing to wait when diablo.exe is launched

Which script are you using, the loop or the "start /wait diablo.exe" ?

Code:
CLS
@echo off
taskkill /f /im explorer.exe
start /wait diablo.exe
start c:\windows\explorer.exe
This didn't work

Code:
CLS
@echo off
taskkill /f /im explorer.exe
start diablo.exe
Echo Press any key to restart explorer
Pause
start c:\windows\explorer.exe
Modified it to this.

I'd like to automate explorer.exe starting somehow but it's not co-operating.

it's amazing how often we do that.

I end up turning code into rube goldbergs at time myself.
