That's exactly the amount of LQP that I used. After spreading it, it finished like this:

450

Wow, unbelievable! I clearly didn't put enough, because when I took the waterblock off it almost looked like there wasnt any on, just the tiniest layer that i had before. But after a reapplication I used about twice as much as I used last time, ( a little more than what shows in your pic becuase mine was going on the IHS not the die ) and there was a massive 20°c+ drop! was before during prime95 blend 96°c now its looking like around 70-76°c

i think i just overreacted to people insisting you always put to much TIM on.... that's not always the case. you need enough tim to fill the cavitys and imperfections between the waterblock and the IHS. thanks again biggrin.gif

Anyone else reporting not being able to overclock their memory as high when delidding? First I've heard of it, I've heard not being able to hit super high speeds with ln2 but nothing about memory being hampered.

CPU bracket to hold it down. There's no need of glue.

TY why did you mention other TIM than the IX and the Liquid pro, did you mix some on top or under the indigo xtreme?
Thread Starter
No. I did many test with different combinations. The best one was LQP+IX, but LPQ+PK1 (instead of IX) worked really good. I'd recommend this last one
