thinking about replacing the intel TIM with MX-4 and not doing the direct die cooling. too risky for just 1-2c better.

anyone have an idea what the gap is on the IHS and the die?

lol anyone else noticed they used rubberbands to hold the fans onto the radiator? biggrin.gif

i might end up doing this because i might damage the die from overpressure or just being crooked.

but mainly because for me most new waterblocks base are bowed so the top and bottom of the die might not have the best contact.

xDDDD

Too much fan changes. Rubberbands did de job.

Ajslay, I finished the review and mounting the rig. Finally I used AS5, MX4, PK1 and Indigo (with liquid pro inside).

He didn't do anything to reattach the cpu cap? was he just relying on the pressure from the socket??

EDIT: according to this simply using the socket pressure is a way
