Just call the gamestop and have them check their inventory. I bet they have the disc still there. I believe they remove all the games and keep them behind the counter.

No, it only had the tape strips on top and bottom. None of the boxes on the shelf were shrink wrapped. I remember them.

im afraid trying to get a refund at a different store might not work.

Neither mine nor anyone else's at the midnight release I went to were shrink wrapped. When we got to the inventory door where they were being handed out the manager was just pulling them out of the shipping box. Only a piece of tape sealing the contents of any box.

Right, I'm doing it first thing in the morning. Only thing I'm worried about is whether or not the exchange can be done at my own store. I'm not about to drive 2 hours back to a store because of an error on their part. That would be ridiculous to expect of anyone. What if I had purchased the game in NYC? They would seriously expect me to travel 6 hours to exchange a video game when there is a store 5 miles from my house?

next time you do a purchase, make sure you check inside the box immediately after paying.
This saves you a whole lot of trouble. Do it on every stuff you buy, even the cheapest mouse or keyboard.

If you have the receipt, you should take it up with their manager, im sure he would understand that it happened in their watch.
