I just got scammed out of Diablo 3... - Page 3

Got my copy at Gamestop last night. As far as I know all their copies are sealed top and bottom with tape and they hand it to you from behind the counter. At least thats the way they do it at my local GS. Good luck but I doubt they will give you another copy.

At our location we almost never have Pc games. Only time we do is when they are personally pre ordered. We keep them sealed in the back, and never even on display as there hardly any Pc gamers here.

Almost the same as here. They do keep the latest big name games and even have release parties at midnight but they aren't out on the shelves. All the PC games at the GS near me are behind the counter. The new(er) games are displayed though on a big shelf behind the registers.

There's no doubt to it. The simple fact of the matter is I payed a hefty price for something that I did not get because of an error on their part. It is now their responsibility to fix it. I'll refuse to leave and take further action if they want to give me a hard time. I'm sure every one of you guys would do the exact same thing.

I didn't say you were a liar just that I doubt they would do anything about it. Hopefully you get satisfaction. Just saying that isn't always the case when dealing with situations like this. Good luck anyway. thumb.gif

Oh of course. I wasn't getting hostile with you. Just heated at the situation lol. I've just never ran into a problem while dealing with a return where in they basically told me I had to eat my money and I'm not about to do that tomorrow.

i clearly remember buying C&C Generals at a gamestop and they had the game itself behind the counter. it may have more to do with the location of each store and which items are more prone to theft.

Depends, I've got BF3 from them at launch and it was in its sealed box, but I just picked up ME3 and it was in a box on the shelves (With the key in box) and they had to put the disks in it (It was the last one). Usually though most new releases have been sealed that I have gotten from them. Just go there and if they don't politely fix the mistake then raise a stink at the manager and make lots of threats to hurt their credibility. They screwed up plain and simple.

Ya might wanna leave out the making threats part. Nothing makes someone who works in retail NOT want to help you out more than stuff like that. Its best to just explain what happened calmly and hopefully they will take care of it. Even if you have to ask to speak to someone else, a manager or w/e keep calm about it. They will be much more likely to help you out if you're cool to them and don't start freaking out about it.
