New build for D3 which is better

Thread Starter
ok so I am doing a build for a friend who wants to be able to play diablo 3 and listen to some music/store music on

this is what I've got

which is better the Intel build or the AMD build (or I guess would the AMD build be enough) how is the PSU (shes pretty set on the case)

and if the AMD build is not enough I could add the 7750 that I have in the Intel build and basically have the same price with that video card on the AMD build but I kinda feel thats a waste of the APU

here they are

Intel:

377

AMD:

312

thats not a realy good case for the price o.O and yeah PSU is not reliable at all , here's my recommendation :
NZXT Source 210 Elite White 50$
Corsair CX500 50/30$
A8-3850+Mobo 155/145$
this should be enought to play D3 also i would recommend getting 8GB of ram , not only its more future proof but also the graphics in APU utilizes alot of ram and it prefers its fast , thus samsung is best choice by far as u can overclock it to 2000Mhz no problem .

also if in any near future ur friend needs more horse power(which i doubt) just pop in a HD 6670 for CrossFireX with the APU graphics and it will give u the performance of 6850/7750/7770 levels

I can't see what you have because when I click the images it's distorted...
But if you're getting an the AMD A8 proccy, I think you can grab a single 6570/6670/6750/6770 and have the hybrid crossfire with the APU + Card.

Edit:

Also my friend is running this game on medium settings 30fps + with an Athlon II X2 250, 4GB DDR3 RAM, HD 6570 and a 300W/400W PSU.

Will D3 need that hybrid crossfire?

I've seen ppl mention that, what kind of setup is involved with it?

i would really say the intel is better in my suggestion but you can get better build for ~500$ like

PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i3-2100 3.1GHz Dual-Core Processor ($109.99 @ Newegg)

Motherboard: ECS H61H2-M2(1.0) Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($24.99 @ Newegg)

Memory: G.Skill Value Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($19.99 @ Newegg)

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda ES 750GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($68.00 @ Newegg)

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 1GB Video Card ($155.67 @ NCIX US)

Case: Thermaltake VL80001W2Z ATX Mid Tower Case ($27.99 @ Microcenter)

Power Supply: Cougar 560W ATX12V Power Supply ($45.00 @ Newegg)

Optical Drive: Sony AD-7280S-0B DVD/CD Writer ($17.99 @ Amazon)

Total (before mail-in rebates): $519.62 Shipped
Mail-in Rebates: $-50.00
Total: $469.62

its 12$ over the budget but well worth it wink.gif

Hope that helped thumb.gif

Get this PSU and this GPU from NCIX (to qualify for free shipping)

http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=60345&vpn=CMPSU-430CXV2&manufacture=Corsair&promoid=1114
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=68500&vpn=GV-R775OC-1GI&manufacture=Gigabyte

getting a 7750 with an APU build is a bad idea. You are not utilizing the integrated GPU. You can drop the CPU down to a dual core Celeron and you should still be able to max D3. Use the savings and get her a 64GB Crucial M4.

Here is an alternative case too
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147153&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-Cases%20(Computer%20Cases%20-%20ATX%20Form)-_-Rosewill-_-11147153&AID=10440897&PID=3938566&SID=

Don't get that RAM with the H67 chipset, it only supports up to 1333Mhz. grab this kit instead
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=45301&vpn=CMV4GX3M2A1333C9&manufacture=Corsair
or 8GB

I've seen ppl mention that, what kind of setup is involved with it?

No, D3 won't need a crossfire set-up to run. But it's such a cheap performance gain, I personally would grab the AMD and add another card.

What do you mean?
I'm guessing you just plug the single PCIe card in, enable Crossfire in CCC and away you go... But I have never done it so tongue.gif
You can only use a 6XXX series card in order to utilize the hybrid crossfire of the A8 APU, as I understand anyway.
I am not sure about if some models don't work, like the 6770 with the APU.
